Give Them a Reason to Come: Immersive and Multi-Sensory Experiences

What makes for a great in-store experience is being redefined. The experience of the now involves immersing the customer directly into the store and products. The new immersive store experience has dressing rooms that are being reinvented, mobile becoming integrated and digital signage going interactive. Consumers who were once just greeted and helped are now fully immersed and entertained.

Irv Cassio | Senior Systems Architect | Luxottica Retail

Irv Cassio, Senior Systems Architect for Luxottica’s Omni-Channel & Digital Initiatives, has had roles from IT to marketing in the areas of retail innovation, digital store experiences and software development. Irv has implemented unique digital experiences at flagship stores including Times Square and Fifth Avenue, which implemented tablet programs that enable omni-channel capabilities and created digital strategies. Irv best describes himself as a digital explorer passionate about retail and fashion. A jack of all trades, his experience covers the areas of omni-channel, digital signage, social media, visual merchandising, marketing e-commerce, customer experience and store design. He is currently writing a book titled, Digitally Human.

Christiana DiMattesa | Senior Retail Marketing Manager | Under Armour

Christiana oversees Under Armour’s North America DTC retail marketing team inclusive of marketing strategy, operations, in-store experience, and event activations. Christiana has spent 18 years working within the retail space and has a passion to utilize technology to change the interactive landscape of the retail environment. She has been with Under Armour since August 2015 and previously held marketing roles with Ann Inc and Foot Locker Inc.

Josh Kern | Chief Marketing Officer | Smashburger

Josh Kern is Chief Marketing Officer at Smashburger. Prior to joining Smashburger, he served as Chief Marketing Officer for Smashburger owner Consumer Capital Partners, where he was responsible for launching and driving marketing strategy for a variety of its signature consumer endeavors, including restaurant concepts Live Basil Pizza and Tom’s Urban, and global cycling race USA Pro Challenge. Previously, Josh served as Executive Vice President of Commercial Sales for The Comex Group, Vice President of Marketing at American Blue Ribbon Holdings, formerly Vicorp Restaurants. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Quiznos.
