Designing the Store with Digital in Mind

There are many reasons for incorporating digital into the store: Digital can add excitement, create action and movement in the space, and be refreshed often to reflect the latest brand messaging. Some companies are now viewing stores at the physical manifestation of their e-commerce business. We’ll discuss integrating digital into the store design without overwhelming it, as well as future proofing technology decisions.

Scott Emmons is focused on innovation for the Neiman Marcus Group (NMG). He built the NMG innovation lab (iLab) and is responsible for leading the organization in evaluating, designing, testing and piloting cutting-edge technologies and applications for luxury retail. Scott is also working on BYOD initiatives, Wi-Fi/LAN/WAN infrastructure, mobility and digital signage initiatives. Innovation projects include the amazing Memomi Memory Mirror, beautiful 4K touch table look books, beacon enabled holiday passes, intelligent mobile phone charging stations and gorgeous digital directories for Bergdorf Goodman.

Phillip Raub is currently the Co-Founder, CMO & Head of Retail at b8ta, In his role he oversees b8ta’s marketing and consumer experience. Prior to b8ta, Phillip held executive roles in marketing at Nest (Head of Global Channel Marketing), Nintendo (Director of Retail Marketing) and Gap Inc.
