Tom LaPlante is Managing Partner at Star Support, a technology and management consulting firm servicing small to large businesses. He brings more than 25 years of experience and a rich background in travel, hospitality and entertainment. Prior to joining Star Support, he was the CIO of TopGolf where he oversaw the development of all technology solutions that enhanced the TopGolf guest experience. His responsibilities included the implementation of mobile applications, creating and activating digital display solutions and the integration of social media into the TopGolf experience. He also previously served as IT Director at Harrah’s, a Caesar’s Entertainment brand.
Paula Suarez | Head of IT & Development | Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
Paula Suarez is Head of Information Technology and Development for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. She leads the company-wide implementation of technology projects and oversees in-house software development efforts. Her focus is on streamlining business processes using advanced technology options. Prior to joining Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in 2011, Paula served as a division business systems analyst for RealPage, a software development company for major property management companies. Her experience also includes over a decade working within the area of business systems analysis, software development and technical training. Past career achievements include the development and launching of the first military housing technical training program for Lincoln Military Housing.
